Thank you!

I want to thank everyone who reads my blog. Once a day, once a week, once a year…thank you!

Blogging has been a growing relationship which has seemingly matured, and me along with it. When I began blogging in June of 2009, I felt like I was writing for only my mom to read. Not that my mom’s readership doesn’t mean a lot to me (hi, Mom!), but I love to write and writing is all the more rewarding when others want to read what you write (go figure, I know!). When I started to get a comment here or there on my blog, I would get giddy with joy — a comment, weee! I call this the honeymoon phase when every little blog-related thing excited me.

And then I started to form relationships with bloggers whom I followed. It seemed to become a game of you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours…in the form of blog comments. I call this the robotic phase. I don’t regret this phase of my blogging because I really have grown to love and adore so many bloggers, but that phase was simply exhausting. I’ll admit, I felt pressure to read dozens of blogs every day when I simply did not have the time. I now do what I can as far as reading blogs, and it’s typically on the weekends when I do have spare time.

And now here lately, things have hit their stride…my stride. I’ve been giving 100% of what I can to my blog and others’ without sacrificing the balance of life (if you follow me on my blog, you likely know I’m a fan of all things in balance). My blog traffic has steadily climbed over the past few months and I’ve done nothing new to cause the climb. A blogger dream? You betcha.

Thank you for reading, emailing, and sharing healthy recipes and wisdom with the ones you love. By sharing my tales of nutrition & balance, I hope it enables and inspires others to do the same.

  13. I actually stopped trying to keep up months ago – with a full time job, a husband and daughter, there was just no way I could reciprocate the reading and comments people were leaving with me.

    That being said, I do eventually get around to everyone, and if I don’t have time to read a particular post – a quick personal email does the trick! 😀

  14. I really enjoy coming home to read another dose of prevention each evening. Heart health is what predicts my meals, but I get a lot from your recipes, and then make them my own!! My family loves it when I cook new recipes. I really enjoy that you take the time to photograph and share yours!!

  17. I know what you mean about the pressure to read other blogs and comment, but honestly, I don’t have time for that any more. I also think sometimes reading all about what people eat everyday makes me a little bit obsessed.
    Now, I read certain blogs pretty regularly (yours included) and comment when I have something to say. I like that balance better 🙂
